Due to growth, we are seeking a Construction Sales Representative to grow our Eastern Iowa territory. The Sales Representative is responsible for calling on, servicing and managing new and existing residential general contractors. This person will build relationships and communicate with key contacts in order to secure residential business in all the services that Kinzler Construction Services offer. This person will also provide feedback and insight to our other departments to enhance our teams ability to run this division profitably. Other duties include, but not limited to:
- Provide contractors, builders and customers with sales quotes, negotiates pricing, applicable submittals and secures terms of sale.
- Follow up with clients and take appropriate action to ensure complete customer satisfaction with products and services provided.
- Follow up with customers to secure contracts, change orders, and work orders negotiated and approved.
- Responsible for being thoroughly knowledgeable about vendor products, pricing and availability and monitoring market trends and practices.
- Strive to increase market shares by identifying new opportunities and pursuing them.
- Assist the accounting department with due diligence on credit worthiness.
- Help the accounting department follow up on receivables.
Required skills, experience, and talents:
- Five years of residential construction sales experience, or residential project superintendent / management experience required
- knowledge of the residential building process required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior knowledge of a CRM system preferred
- Demonstrate a professional demeanor, strong sales and CSR skills as well as showing initiative, being goal-oriented and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
